Development Manager - EA Sports FC

Electronic Arts is seeking a Development Manager to join the EA SPORTS FC team in Vancouver. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of game features and assets, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.

The EA SPORTS FC team is a global community of developers driven by imagination and a shared passion for growing the love of sports through captivating visuals and immersive experiences. The team works in a hybrid setting, spending three days onsite at EA Vancouver.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a development team consisting of artists, software engineers, and external partners.
• Anticipate bottlenecks, escalate management issues, prioritize projects, and balance needs against technical constraints.
• Focus on the immediate team, identifying issues and suggesting solutions related to execution goals.
• Ensure project setups meet studio specifications, with regular status reporting and capacity plan updates.
• Establish engagement processes using Jira to define workflows, document processes, and train staff.
• Collaborate with production, QV, and art directors to meet game quality targets.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of project management or project lead experience with production lifecycles, processes, and project planning.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as computer science, game development, or business.
• Experience in a Scrum/Agile software development environment.
• Proven track record using Jira and Jaas to manage concurrent projects.
• Experience working with expansive teams, mediating conflicts, and managing outsource vendors and remote teams.
