K-8 IEP Team Chair

We are seeking a K-8 IEP Team Chair at Brooke East Boston. As an IEP Team Chair, you will oversee the drafting, implementation, and maintenance of IEPs and 504 plans. You will also oversee the initial and re-evaluation process and coordinate standardized testing accommodations.

Hours for this role are 7:15 am - 4:20 pm. Salaries are based on years of special education experience. Those who join our team with a license or degree in special education earn salaries that range from $74,000–$130,000, commensurate with experience. IEP Team Chairs will earn an additional $3,300 stipend for teaching a high-need area.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the drafting, implementation, and maintenance of IEPs and 504 plans
• Oversee the initial and re-evaluation process
• Coordinate standardized testing accommodations

Requirements:

• Professional, warm, and collaborative with students, families, and colleagues
• Strong working knowledge of federal and state Special Education laws
• Committed to fostering diversity by cultivating anti-racist practices and removing bias
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or hold a Special Education teaching license
• Ability to start immediately
