WSP in India is seeking a Consultant to Senior Consultant - Vertical Transportation (VT) to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in the Lift and Escalator Industry, specializing in Vertical Transportation Consultancy, Lift Design, and Traffic Simulation. The role involves developing VT design concepts, calculating lift specifications, and attending client and design team meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize advanced knowledge and experience in lift traffic design software (Elevate), CAD, BIM, Revit, and Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Produce efficient VT solutions for clients.
- Create technical reports to illustrate designs to clients and their representatives.
- Attend and coordinate meetings with the project design team, VT suppliers, and specialist subcontractors.
- Liaise and coordinate with Local Authority Departments and stakeholders to obtain approvals.
- Coordinate with other Discipline Engineers as applicable.
- Participate in design review meetings, workshops, and client presentations.
- Liaise with VT suppliers to ensure adherence to standards and scope of works.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in designing vertical transportation systems for diverse building types and sectors.
- Strong understanding of VT codes, standards, and local building regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, reviews, and deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in English (both written and spoken).
