Mold Maintenance Technician - Plastics - Marysville Auto Plant

We are seeking a Mold Maintenance Technician - Plastics to join our team at the Marysville Auto Plant. As a Mold Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the production of high-quality parts through preventative maintenance, maturation, repair, tuning, and daily troubleshooting of molds.

Job Purpose: Assure Molds produce quality parts through:

• Preventative maintenance, maturation, repair, tuning, and daily troubleshooting.

Key Accountabilities:

• Work on daily activities as assigned by the Team Leader.
• Respond to equipment / mold downtime and recovery issues.
• Monitor equipment / mold for potential problems identification.
• Perform quality & running efficiency improvements to the mold / tooling.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance plans & activities.
• Perform all phases of equipment troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and/or pneumatic systems.
• Maintain Clean Up, Organize, Pick up (COP) of work area and department issued tools.
• Observe and promote all department safety policies.
• Quality confirmation of completed work.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three months experience in the mechanical and/or die mold maintenance field (including Co-op experience) preferred.
• Application of engineering and manufacturing principles.
• In-Depth understanding of manufacturing processes (Assembly, Paint, Weld, Stamping, Plastics).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic 2D and 3D CAD tools.
• Strong verbal and written skills to communicate effectively both with customers and internal project teams.
• Business acumen in a technical environment.

Working Conditions:

• Manufacturing environment.
• Flexibility to work 2nd or 3rd shift long term.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, daily overtime, and off shifts as needed, sometimes on short notice.
• Shop environment, welding, grinding, handwork on plastic mold(s) and tooling.
