Gameplay Designer - EA SPORTS™ FC

The FC Gameplay team creates the most authentic, engaging and fun football simulation experiences in the world. As a Gameplay Designer, you are in charge of defining, describing, documenting, communicating and verifying features and content that create those experiences for millions of players.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design, document, develop and balance large gameplay systems and features from concept through to release
• Create innovative and engaging gameplay experiences that are unique to game modes within FC
• Thoroughly document and communicate the game's design to the team
• Incorporate ideas and feedback from across the gameplay team
• Mentor junior designers and promote good design principles across the team
• Work with animation, art, audio, design, programming, and visual effects to develop your features
• Give concise and helpful feedback to help improve the game
• Contribute to the development of tools and design processes to improve how we work
• Follow direction and justify design decisions based on a shared product vision

Who You Are:

• 3+ years of experience in a game production or design role
• Extensive knowledge of game design processes, techniques and principles
• Great eye for game quality and empathy for the player
• Passion and knowledge of football and the EA SPORTS™ FC video game franchise
• Curiosity and willingness to investigate design topics and in-game issues
• Technical proficiency in game development engines and tools
