Library Page positions are educational opportunities for students currently enrolled in accredited programs.
We are seeking candidates who love theatre and are interested in working with books and archives related to the history of the performing arts.
As a Library Page, you will work 19 hours per week, including evenings and Saturdays, and perform various tasks under the direction of the Assistant Curator of the Billy Rose Theatre Division.
Responsibilities:
- Retrieve and shelve Special Collections materials
- Rehouse fragile materials
- Shelf-read special collections and rare book holdings
- Assist in preparing and sending materials for processing and storage
- Support preparation and processing of materials for the Special Collections Reading Room
- Perform scanning, photocopying, and messenger work
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program or accredited school
- Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
- Basic computer and technology skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to troubleshoot basic computer and scanner issues
- Familiarity with theatre history
- Current enrollment in MLIS programs
