Forward Deployed Engineer

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Anthropic, you will embed with strategic customers to drive AI adoption, collaborating to ship advanced AI applications solving real-world business problems.

Working closely with Post-Sales, Product, and Engineering teams, you'll combine engineering expertise, frontier AI applications knowledge, and customer-facing skills to understand workflows and develop innovative solutions addressing complex challenges while maintaining safety and reliability standards.

Responsibilities:

• Build production applications with Claude models within customer systems.
• Deliver technical artifacts like MCP servers and agent skills for production workflows.
• Provide white-glove deployment support for Anthropic products in enterprise environments.
• Identify and codify repeatable deployment patterns, contributing insights to Product and Engineering teams.
• Stay updated on LLM capabilities, implementation patterns, and AI product development stacks.
• Build long-term relationships with customers and identify new AI deployment opportunities.
• Travel frequently (25-50%) to customer sites.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in technical, customer-facing roles or software engineering with consulting or product experience.
• Production experience with LLMs, including prompt engineering, agent development, and deployment at scale.
• Strong programming skills in Python (and ideally additional languages like TypeScript, Java).
• High agency with the ability to navigate ambiguity in complex organisations.
• High cooperation mindset for cross-organisational collaboration.
• Passion for advancing safe, beneficial AI systems.
• Strong communication skills for conducting discovery with customers and conveying technical concepts.

The annual compensation range for this role is £225,000-£255,000 GBP.
