Credit Specialist

Job Summary

As a Credit Specialist at TEGNA Inc., you will play a crucial role in managing credit applications, analyzing financial data, and determining credit limits for customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage a set of stations, monitoring changes, creating new profiles, processing credit applications, and managing cash in advance orders
• Analyze financial data to determine customer creditworthiness and establish credit limits
• Collaborate with other business units to improve data quality used in credit risk models
• Provide support and feedback to stations and sales personnel on credit worthiness and risk management
• Escalate issues to management as needed

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in a credit or data management role
• Associate's degree in Business preferred
• Detailed credit analysis experience required
• Knowledge of credit risk and understanding of financial data
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage multiple projects
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with internal and external customers
• Intermediate Excel skills and experience with remote meetings
