Description
Deutsche Bank's legal department is seeking a qualified attorney to support the Corporate Banking (CB) business, focusing on Cash Management, Trade Finance, and Trust and Securities Services.
Your primary focus will be supporting the global Cash Management business, providing timely counsel and legal support for domestic and global transactions, and owning diverse and complex legal issues that require excellent business judgement.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support across the business, working with sales, coverage, and implementation units to communicate with clients, negotiate changes to documentation, and propose draft compromise language.
- Advise on applicable regulations impacting cash management services and trade finance lending arrangements and instruments.
- Identify unusual legal, operational, or credit risks and ensure they are addressed and escalated.
- Assist with structuring new business transactions and new product offerings, providing legal support without significant reliance on outside counsel.
- Collaborate with strategic partners in various departments to balance the Bank's risk framework with Corporate Bank business needs.
Requirements
- Significant years of relevant experience at a law firm and/or in-house counsel at a financial institution, with emphasis on structuring, drafting, and negotiating documentation for complex bank finance or commercial transactions.
- Experience with cash management transactions, including master cash management agreements, payment services, and ACH agreements, or trade finance transactions, including accounts receivable financing, import/export transactions, and letters of credit.
- JD and at least one state bar admission (active and good standing).
- Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimize workflows.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is $100,000 to $157,000 and New York City is $170,000 to $275,500.
