Housing Welding Technician IV

We are seeking a highly skilled Housing Welding Technician IV to join our manufacturing team at Cummins Inc. in Fletcher, NC.

As a Housing Welding Technician IV, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. You will apply comprehensive knowledge to perform skilled activities that support manufacturing business needs, working with relevant functions to select and utilize appropriate resources, tools, machinery, and specialty equipment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Enhancing safety by reporting major injury hazards and maintaining a safe work environment
• Promoting health by reporting work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards
• Ensuring compliance with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations
• Fostering team safety by using personal protective equipment and promoting interdependence
• Improving quality by applying high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship
• Supporting maintenance by providing feedback into the Preventive Maintenance system
• Optimizing processes by working with peers and support staff to identify and reduce manufacturing constraints
• Encouraging teamwork by communicating effectively with your team and participating in training and development

Requirements:

• High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience
• Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience
• Licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations may be required

This is a Friday to Sunday skilled technician role with a schedule of 6:00 am - 6:30 pm.

The base rate for this position is $21.49 - $31.28 per hour.
