As a Field Sales Representative III - DEKALB Asgrow, you will achieve sales goals and deliver a personalised customer experience by executing the Customer Engagement Process and acting as the owner of squad-agreed business goals. You will identify customer needs to develop account plans and sales forecasts and create customised integrated solutions with clear value propositions. Your responsibilities include:
- Achieving assigned targets and contributing to squad goals by coordinating with squad-mates and supporting shared responsibilities
- Developing and implementing dealer business plans, managing forecasting and inventory, and coordinating follow-ups with dealers to drive business results
- Serving as the key business consultant to retailers and dealers, championing Bayer brands and product/technical/agronomic knowledge to demonstrate product performance versus competitors
- Collaborating with squad-mates and cross-functional teams to maximise services, information, and sales to preferred growers and key accounts
- Gathering, analysing, and using market and competitive data to inform account plans, recommend strategies for short- and long-term business goals, and manage area claims per policy
- Managing expenses and discretionary program funds to support top- and bottom-line growth while ensuring program execution and fulfilment for marketing initiatives
- Mentoring and coaching earlier-in-career Field Sales Representatives, taking a leadership role with top growers and retailers, and providing personalised support through the order and delivery process
- Travelling approximately 60% to engage face-to-face with customers and actively manage inventory and demand to avoid bottlenecks
You will cover the following counties: Goodhue, Rice, Todd, Scott.
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses:
- Demonstrated product, portfolio, and agronomic knowledge with strong selling and account planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with proven initiative, assertiveness, and ability to drive results
- Strong business acumen, financial and territory management expertise, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
- Proficiency with standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and digital/data skills to analyse information and influence decisions
- Willingness to travel and live/work in rural environments
- Position requires driving for the company that may fall under DOT/FMCSA jurisdiction, including hauling trailers, product, supplies, or equipment safely
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree with 6+ years' experience in sales, marketing, account management, or agriculture, or equivalent experience of 10+ years.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $93,200.00- $139,800.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission. Benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.
