Assistant Coordinator, Expanded Learning

The Assistant Coordinator, Expanded Learning serves as direct administrative support to the Aftercare Coordinator/Director and may serve as second in charge in their absence.

The Assistant Coordinator plays a role as a mentor, tutor, activity leader, and sports coach. They plan and coordinate the curriculum and provide outreach and communication to families.

The ideal candidate would possess the ability to work well with school-aged students, lead academic and enrichment activities, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Provide outreach and communication to families
• Serve as direct administrative support to the Aftercare Coordinator/Director
• May serve as second in charge in the absence of the Aftercare Coordinator/Director
• Supervise school-aged children indoors and outdoors
• Maintain an orderly, safe, and organised environment for students
• Take attendance to ensure all students are accounted for
• Plan, develop, and facilitate engaging student activities
• Assist students with learning activities and homework assignments
• Understand and implement emergency procedures, including safety protocols

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience working with students
• Tuberculosis Clearance and Department of Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
