As a Sr. Mission Software Engineer - Undersea Reconnaissance & Strike, you will work on debugging code, identifying and fixing issues in a real-world setting, and collaborating with teams to improve the overall performance of the system.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate and resolve field-reported anomalies in the system
- Reproduce issues, identify root causes, and implement fixes
- Collaborate with teams to improve system performance and reliability
- Develop and maintain software in languages such as Rust, C++, Python, and Go
- Work with metrics, logs, and observability tooling to reconstruct system state and diagnose issues
- Write clear documentation of root causes and fixes for future reference
Requirements:
- Experience debugging code under time pressure with incomplete information
- Proficiency in at least two of Rust, modern C++, Python, Go
- Systems-debugging instincts and experience with observability tooling
- Linux and systems fluency
- Ability to write clear documentation and communicate effectively
Nice to have:
- Experience with robotics middleware, sensor drivers, or real-time data pipelines
- Familiarity with simulation-in-the-loop or hardware-in-the-loop test setups
- Experience with CI/CD and versioned deployment
- On-call or field-support experience for hardware

The salary range for this role is $191,000-$253,000 USD per year.
