Join our diverse and inclusive Supply Chain team at Cisco as a Software Engineer in Product Quality and Compliance. You will play a key role in designing and developing next-generation capabilities to support our architectural transformation and modernization efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and build applications in a Scrum Agile environment
- Showcase coding skills, debug issues, suggest improvements, review code, and provide solutions to systemic problems
- Ensure application security by fixing vulnerabilities and keeping them secure
- Assist in developing in-app and role-based AI Agents
- Collaborate with senior engineers to integrate agentic frameworks
- Support the creation of Natural Language Interaction (NLI) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems
- Participate in enabling and testing data connectors
- Contribute to prompt engineering for LLMs exposed via APIs
- Learn and assist with building and integrating basic AI agent protocols and communication mechanisms
Minimum Qualifications:
- Strong passion for and commitment to lifelong learning
- Passion for data and enthusiasm for data science processes and technologies
- Experience with front-end, back-end, or automation technology
- Familiarity with Object Oriented programming concepts
- Knowledge of Web Services and JSON
- Understanding of security practices and API Security Protocols
- Good team player with a positive and self-starter attitude
- Eligible to work in Portugal without visa/work permit sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Good understanding of Agile practices and toolsets
- Familiarity with supply chain business
- Certifications in Java, DB, Python, Web Development, AWS Fundamentals, Supply Chain Fundamentals, Gen AI White/Green belt
