We are looking for creative writing talent to work with our production and design team on creating narrative content for our players. Deep knowledge of Hockey and a genuine passion for the sport is a requirement. You will also need a good eye for product quality and usability along with a passion for creating amazing experiences.

Your Responsibilities

  • Update the Player, Team, League, and Arena databases.
  • Coordinate and assist with data entry verification.
  • Research and evaluate current database entries for update needs throughout the hockey season and off-seasons.
  • Provide live launch support.
  • Aid in the creation of writing content with the ability to modify and improve them.
  • Work with NHL producers to understand targets and priority changes.
  • Communicate progress and quality effectively with the NHL team.
  • Manage dependencies and coordinate deliverables across teams.

Your Qualifications

  • 1+ years background in game design and/or production with relevant experience working on a live service with tight deadlines, having shipped at least one “AAA” title as a producer or designer.
  • Passion for and deep understanding of Hockey.
  • Good knowledge of the EA SPORTS NHL franchise.

Your Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in the game of hockey and leagues around the world.
  • Keen eye for small details and live changes to the real hockey world.
  • Ability to work both in a constructive team setting and autonomously on individual projects.
  • Ability to work with individuals from different disciplines, focused on achieving shared product/business goals.
  • Good eye for game quality and strong advocate for the end-user experience.
  • Ability to come up with and document creative ideas, evaluate and critique existing ideas.

Pay Transparency - North America

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) $60,300 - $78,800 CAD

In Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
