Cleaning Operative - Nights

We are seeking a Cleaning Operative to join our team at The Rock, Bury. As a Cleaning Operative, you will be responsible for cleaning a busy shopping and leisure center, including mall floors, emptying bins, litter picking, and using machinery such as jetwash, scrubber dryers, cardboard baler, and waste compactors.

Responsibilities:

• Clean toilets and top up consumables
• Dust, wipe, and disinfect surfaces
• Scrub kitchens and toilets
• Empty bins in front of house areas
• Move glass and food bins into the yards and replace with new ones
• Use machinery such as jetwash, scrubber dryers, cardboard baler, and waste compactors
• Hoover and mop floors, including stairwells
• Disinfect high touch points
• Perform detail work, such as skirtings, sills, and fixtures
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Report any deficiencies in systems of work or equipment
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly

Requirements:

• Experience in a cleaning, janitorial, or maintenance role is beneficial
• Understanding of how to use PPE
• Ability to follow company policies, cleaning protocols, and safety regulations
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to work on own and as a team
• Excellent timekeeping
• Good communication skills
