Electronic Arts is seeking a Data Engineer II to join their Central Technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and sustaining efficient, scalable, and performant Data Engineering Pipelines.
The Data & Insights (D&I) team at EA transforms data into actionable insights that power the company's decision-making processes. The team guides strategy and governance, builds data and AI solutions, and ensures personalization experimentation and analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and sustain efficient, scalable, and performant Data Engineering Pipelines.
- Develop, optimize, and support production data workflows to ensure comprehensive and accurate datasets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with 3+ years of relevant industry experience in a data engineering role.
- Proficiency in writing and analyzing complex SQL, Python, or other 4GL languages.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Hands-on experience with Cloud Data Warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query, or other big data solutions.
- Experience with distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Airflow, Flink, Beam, and Trino).
- Experience with real-time/streaming data technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, and Spark Streaming).
- Experience in version control and CI/CD workflows (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with BI Tools like Looker, Tableau & Power BI, dashboard design, data quality, data governance, and data observability tools.
