Engineering Manager, Payments

Job Overview

As the Engineering Manager for Payments at Stripe, you will oversee the expansion of Stripe's global payments network, focusing on card payments in the Asia Pacific, Europe, and Middle East regions. This role involves making strategic, product, and technical decisions that impact card payments globally.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Stripe leaders to define the company's card payments strategy.
• Develop and mentor engineers on the team to advance their careers.

• Implement effective processes for the team and facilitate smooth interactions with other parts of Stripe.
• Participate in engineering-wide initiatives as part of Stripe's engineering management team.
• Assist in recruiting top engineering talent alongside Stripe's recruiting team.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in an engineering management role.
• Over 8 years of full-time software development experience.
• Proven track record of successfully hiring, developing, and mentoring engineers.
• Ability to lead effectively in fast-paced, high-impact environments.
• Strong commitment to operational rigor with production systems.
• Experience in building scalable software solutions.
• Skilled at working in collaborative, cross-functional, and cross-timezone environments.
