Description
DB AG Hungary Branch is seeking an experienced Finance leader to oversee accounting, tax, and regulatory reporting activities. The Chief Accountant will report to the CFO of Hungary Branch.
This senior role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, managing financial closing processes, and providing expert guidance on accounting and tax matters.
Responsibilities
- Financial Accounting and Financial Statements:
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
- Prepare the Bank's statutory Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statement.
- Tax Management:
- Manage corporate tax-related activities.
- Prepare, review, and submit tax declarations and returns.
- Regulatory Reporting:
- Prepare, review, and submit daily, monthly, and quarterly regulatory reports.
- Accounting Governance and Technical Expertise:
- Determine accounting treatment for new products and transactions.
- Make decisions on General Ledger accounts.
- External Audit and Statutory Reporting:
- Serve as primary contact for statutory auditors.
- Coordinate annual and interim audit processes.
Skills
- Multiple years of experience in a similar position in a bank or financial institution.
- In-depth understanding of accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Experience in managing IT change projects relevant to Finance and regulatory reporting.
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional tax qualifications and Certified Accountant qualification.
