Testing Teacher Consultant

The Lansing School District, serving over 10,000 PreK-12 students in 25 school buildings, seeks a Testing Teacher Consultant. This role supports the special education evaluation process by collaborating with school psychologists and teams to complete evaluations, administer assessments, monitor timelines, and communicate with families.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree
• Prior approval as a Teacher Consultant by the Michigan Department of Education
• Experience with learning disabilities and emotional impairments preferred
• Knowledge of child growth and development, assessments, and special education requirements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain a caseload of at-risk learners
• Provide support and behavioral interventions for academic success
• Meet timelines and deadlines
• Assist families with resources
• Monitor student data for growth
• Develop and monitor student goals
• Communicate plans to staff
• Collaborate with administration to address at-risk learners' needs
• Provide staff with information for interventions
• Identify and report child abuse and neglect

Additional Information: The salary range for this position is USD 50,285-95,000 per year.
