Description
We are seeking a Design Engineer, Structures to join our team in Pasig City, National Capital Region (NCR), Philippines.
As a Design Engineer, Structures, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our projects and delivering high-quality results. You will work under the supervision of the Project Engineer, Senior Engineer, and Structures Manager to ensure that design information is complete and unambiguous.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and self-checking design calculations, structural details, and sketches
- Ensuring designs are correctly interpreted and represented on drawings
- Providing drawings and sketches for own designs
- Reviewing and incorporating comments from Design Checkers
- Checking and preparing CAD drawings
- Reviewing shop drawings and performing quality design checks
- Organizing and coordinating technical documents
- Assisting in the duties of the Project Manager and attending meetings as directed
- Drafting correspondence and communicating with the Design Team
- Working towards continuous improvement of the team
- Carrying out site inspections and undergoing relevant training
- Complying with SHEQ obligations and applying safety in design principles
- Preparing technical reports on small to medium projects
Requirements:
- Technical competence commensurate with a Design Engineer's role
- A Registered Civil Engineer recognised by the relevant licensure regulatory board
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Applications
- Good English communication skills
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in designing multi-level residential, commercial, and institutional projects
- Experience in designing reinforced and post-tensioned concrete and structural steelwork
- Experience with design software including RAPT, RAM Concept, Microstran, and ETABS
- Familiarity with Australian Standards is a plus
- Ability to check documentation accurately and work independently
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet targets and deadlines
