We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Associate Director, Data and Analytics.
In this role, you will lead the technical design and build of IT systems, adding AI features aligned to business value. You will set the technical standards and best practices for engineering teams, guide and mentor other engineers, helping to build a strong technical culture. You will solve complex technical problems that affect multiple systems, work closely with senior management to ensure technology choices support business goals, review system designs to ensure they are secure, reliable, and scale, research and introduce new capabilities that improve our services and efficiency, and ensure all technical work and AI tools follow Group Chief Information Office (GCIO) standards and banking regulations.
To be successful, you will have extensive experience working as a senior, lead, or principal software engineer, with experience building AI systems. You will have a strong background in building large-scale, secure systems, ideally within the financial sector. You will have deep knowledge of modern software development, cloud computing, and system design. You will have proven ability to lead technical projects and guide engineering teams. You will have excellent problem-solving skills to handle complex, system-wide challenges. You will have clear communication skills to explain technical and AI concepts to both technical and non-technical staff. You will have experience working in a highly regulated environment with strict security rules. You will have a hands-on approach, remaining comfortable reviewing code, testing AI tools and leading by example.
