As a Compute Platform Engineer, License Scheduling, you will manage license scheduling policy throughout the estate, model license demand against entitlement, tune allocation policy, build telemetry systems, and partner with CAD and project teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage license scheduling policy, including hierarchical project shares and preemption on license.
  • Model license demand against entitlement to enable procurement negotiations.
  • Tune allocation policy during tape-out crunch for flawless execution.
  • Build telemetry systems for license utilization, including feature-level checkout patterns.
  • Partner with CAD and project teams to translate business priorities into share configurations.

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years in EDA compute, HPC, or comparable environments with contended licensed resources.
  • Practical experience with commercial license managers and batch schedulers.
  • Data proficiency in Python and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with dedicated license scheduling layers.
  • Proven track record of working through license allocation during tape-out.
  • Familiarity with commercial EDA licensing models.
  • Experience influencing license procurement with evidence-based utilization data.
