Description
We are seeking an automation engineer to lead the development of a config-as-code foundation for our EDA compute farm. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a configuration schema for LSF cell deployment, building a deployment pipeline, eliminating configuration drift, and creating a regression suite.
Responsibilities:
- Design and own the configuration schema for LSF cell deployment
- Build the deployment pipeline for scheduler configuration
- Eliminate configuration drift across cells
- Create a regression suite for LSF upgrades
- Collaborate with LSF internals engineer to encode scheduler knowledge into templates and policy
Requirements:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 6+ years of infrastructure engineering experience with config management tools (Ansible, Salt, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
- Experience with GitOps practice at scale
- Proficiency in Go, Python, and shell scripting
- Experience automating stateful, long-lived infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience bringing a manually administered estate under configuration management
- Familiarity with LSF, Slurm, or another batch scheduler
- CI/CD experience for infrastructure
- Observability instincts
Salary: The base salary range is 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4, and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5.
