Assistant Coordinator, Expanded Learning

The Assistant Coordinator, Expanded Learning serves as direct administrative support to the Aftercare Coordinator/Director and may serve as second in charge in their absence.

The Assistant Coordinator plays a role as a mentor, tutor, activity leader, and sports coach. They plan and coordinate the curriculum and provide outreach and communication to families.

The ideal candidate would possess the ability to work well with school-aged students, lead academic and enrichment activities, and communicate effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing outreach and communication to families
• Serving as direct administrative support to the Aftercare Coordinator/Director
• Supervising school-aged children indoors and outdoors
• Maintaining an orderly, safe, and organised environment for students
• Taking attendance to ensure all students are accounted for
• Planning, developing, and facilitating engaging student activities
• Assisting students with learning activities and homework assignments
• Understanding and implementing emergency procedures, including safety protocols

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, experience working with students, and clearances including Tuberculosis Clearance and Department of Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.
