Description
The Emergency Preparedness Supervisor is responsible for managing onsite emergency preparedness activities at Plant Hatch, coordinating with Licensee, Federal, State, and local response organizations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nuclear power, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently across organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise site Emergency Preparedness Specialists and Emergency Preparedness Assistant
- Provide support to local communities for emergency responses
- Maintain relationships with local Emergency Management Agency, Fire Departments, Ambulance Services, hospitals, and other applicable local agencies
- Advise and support plant management on Emergency Plan implementation
- Maintain site staff readiness to respond to classified emergency events
- Ensure integration of Emergency and Security plans
- Develop quarterly drill/exercise scenarios
- Provide testing and initiate needed maintenance requests for Emergency Response Facilities and equipment
- Maintain assigned NRC EP Performance Indicators
- Coordinate with Emergency Planning Coordinators to review REP agency contracts and agreements
- Coordinate maintenance and operability testing of offsite Alert and Notification Systems
- Support the emergency planning staff in completing annual public information programs
- Coordinate site Severe Accident Management Guideline maintenance, review, and training
Requirements:
- BS degree in Engineering / PE or related technical area
- 5 years nuclear power experience
- Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) license preferred
- Health Physics/Radiological Protection (HP/RP) experience preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proven organizational skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Detailed knowledge of site Emergency Preparedness functions
- Training skills
