Associate Director, Client Partnerships

Axios is seeking an Associate Director, Client Partnerships to join its growing advocacy and associations advertising team. The ideal candidate will embody an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for Axios' mission.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with advocacy groups, non-profits, policy organizations, and related agencies and stakeholders.
• Act as a brand ambassador for Axios, representing the company at events and within the advocacy community.
• Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities to drive revenue and expand Axios's presence in the advocacy space.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of partnership initiatives.

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience in the digital media/news industry/sales
• Established relationships with key agencies and brands
• Understanding of the advocacy landscape in Washington D.C. with established relationships with key stakeholders
• Experience in a media or strategy planning environment
• Familiarity of digital media, online marketing technology, and Axios' competitive landscape
• Exceptionally collaborative, both within your own team and cross-functionally
• Willingness to travel and attend industry events and networking engagements
• Growth mindset with hunger to constantly learn and improve your craft
• Comfortable with a mix of outbound sales strategy as well as the nurturing of inbound leads and existing client relationships
• Track record of successfully hitting targets and quotas
