The Supply Chain Manager for Payload/GNC/Electro-mechanical is responsible for leading the company's various flight hardware procurements, developing strategic supplier relationships, and implementing efficient sourcing strategies that optimize cost, lead time, and operational performance across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manages all stages of procurement for strategic flight hardware, owning the entire lifecycle process from vendor evaluation, contract execution to deliverables and post-launch support.
  • Oversees sourcing strategy for complex electro-mechanical products across payload, antenna, mechanical and guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) assemblies.
  • Leads commercial negotiations and finalizes vendor contracts, owning end-to-end RFI, RFP, and RFQ process for strategic hardware purchases.
  • Develops sourcing and negotiation strategies that achieve business objectives while building strong, long-term partnerships with strategic vendors.
  • Places purchase orders for medium to high value components.
  • Evaluates suppliers based on commercial and technical performance that balance business requirements, cost, and long-term value.
  • Works closely with cross-functional teams including design, engineering, finance, program management, and production.
  • Travels domestically and internationally (~15-20% of the time).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or comparable experience).
  • Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in software procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or related supply chain disciplines.
  • Experience negotiating high-value hardware contracts.
  • Excellent communication skills and track record of managing strategic external relationships.
  • Strong experience working with cross-functional engineering teams as well as reporting to executive presence.
  • Detail-oriented, with ability to manage multiple contracts and vendor relationships while maintaining exceptional organization.

Bonus

  • Background in Aerospace, Engineering, or New Technology.
  • Experience in New Production Introduction (NPI) or Technical Program Management.
