AI Security Researcher

Join NVIDIA's Agentic Cybersecurity Research team as an AI Security Researcher to innovate and improve the protection of AI models, systems, and infrastructure.

In this role, you will research and develop technology that secures AI and systems using AI. Your work will focus on using models and agents to improve cybersecurity, as well as securing models and agents.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct novel and creative research on improving cybersecurity and AI
• Contribute research on new and exciting problems in AI and security
• Develop tools and processes to expose or remediate novel weaknesses in conventional and AI systems
• Present results through publications or sharing with the security, machine learning, and business communities
• Improve AI and security at NVIDIA by sharing your results with other teams across the company

Requirements:

• Master's or PhD Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in machine learning, cybersecurity, or closely related fields
• Programming expertise
• Outstanding knowledge of AI and conventional software weaknesses and mitigation strategies
• In-depth understanding of Generative AI workflows
• Self-starter with a passion for growth, enthusiasm for continuous learning, and sharing findings
• Motivated and curious about new technologies
• Ability to present sophisticated technical information clearly

Preferred Qualifications:

• Tight-knit collaboration skills with a history of successful cross-functional projects
• Experience discovering CVEs or building successful tooling
• Knowledge of adversarial machine learning and techniques to defend against adversarial techniques
• Experience with secure software development practices
• Ability to build human-friendly resources

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 192,000 USD - 304,750 USD for Level 4, and 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5. You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
