Physical Therapist

We are seeking a Physical Therapist to join our team at Advocate Health in Rome, GA. As a Physical Therapist, you will provide patient care assessment and treatment, ensure patient evaluations and treatments are comprehensive and functional, and establish treatment plans with realistic goals.

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care assessment and treatment
• Ensure patient evaluations and treatments are comprehensive, functional, and according to the Standard of Practice
• Develop treatment plans with realistic goals
• Supervise support staff assisting with patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Meet department financial and productivity standards
• Participate in process management to optimize quality and efficiency of services
• Promote professional development and education of other healthcare workers
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers

Requirements:

• B.S., M.S., or D.P.T degree from an accredited physical therapy school
• Current licensure in the state of Georgia
• CPR certification in Basic Life Support, Level C
• Previous hospital experience preferred

Work Environment:

• Subject to stress conditions
• Moderate noise environment
• Clean, well-lit, comfortable climate
• Frequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens and airborne pathogens
• Contact with patients under various circumstances
• May make home visits

Physical Requirements:

• Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, finger and hand dexterity, talking, hearing, seeing
• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs
