EA Korea Studio is a game development studio located in Seoul, responsible for developing AAA sports games such as FIFA Online series, Need for Speed Online, and MLB Online. The studio has grown into a comprehensive development studio that leads new game trends and goes beyond localisation of global games.

As a Client Engineer, you will design and develop tools and content pipelines to improve productivity and stability in game content creation. Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing tools for handling in-game events (camera, replay, overlay, etc.) and supporting game content development
  • Creating and managing client local database pipelines
  • Developing and supporting audio content pipelines
  • Providing technical support for 3D direction and cinematic content development using EA's Frostbite engine
  • Optimising systems and improving development environments for content developers to create content efficiently

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5+ years of software development experience in a relevant field
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and STL
  • Experience in developing various content or content creation systems
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with multiple teams
  • Understanding and experience of team-based software development processes
  • Ability to read and write English documents required for work

Preferred skills include:

  • Experience with commercial game engines or proprietary engines
  • Understanding of UI/UX systems or related development experience
  • Expertise in specific technical areas such as framework, game logic, audio pipeline, system, etc.
  • Familiarity with programming languages other than C++
  • Computer science or related major
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks and solve problems proactively
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams and related departments
