Research Engineer/Research Scientist, Personal AGI-Model Experience

We are seeking a Research Engineer/Research Scientist to join our Personal AGI team, focusing on improving pre-trained models for deployment into ChatGPT, the API, and potential future products. The successful candidate will research and develop improvements to our models, combining reinforcement learning and products.

Responsibilities:

• Own and pursue a research agenda to improve model capability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with research and product teams to optimize customer models.
• Build robust evaluations for tracking modeling improvements.
• Design, implement, test, and debug code across our research stack.

Requirements:

• Deep understanding of machine learning and machine learning applications.
• Good judgment about model behavior and effective communication of this judgment.
• Ability to turn ambitious, qualitative problems into concrete training interventions.
• Working knowledge of relevant models and building evaluations for model capability improvement.
• Comfortable diving into a large ML codebase to debug.
• Thrive in a dynamic, technically complex, and collaborative environment.

Compensation:

• $295K – $555K per year, with equity
