Senior Linux Systems Administrator

We are seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to work with our customer who runs the Department of War's largest supercomputing centers. You will provide Linux Systems Administration expertise to ensure reliable access to these critical resources.

Job Details:

• Salary: $92,300.00 - $166,850.00 per year
• Location: Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH
• Required: Top Secret Clearance

Responsibilities:

• Serve as Deputy Team Lead over the local System Administration Functional team.
• Provide RedHat Linux systems administration, performance tuning, client security administration, systems software support, and technology assessments.
• Perform systems enhancement, configuration, maintenance, installation, interfaces, coordination, and software installations and upgrades.
• Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum level of performance.
• Perform acceptance testing of modules, subsystems, and total systems.
• Monitor log files, performance issues, and the production environment for mission critical systems.
• Demonstrate ability to set priorities and organize work to meet deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.

Requirements:

• Active Top Secret clearance or ability to obtain Interim Top Secret eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of equivalent experience, or master's degree and 6 years of experience.
• Current DOD 8570 IAT II certification.
• Demonstrated Linux expertise managing bare metal and virtualized systems.
• Hands-on experience patching, managing, and responding to DoW STIGs.
• Experience supporting and working with ISSO's and ISSM's.
• Proficient in Ansible or equivalent configuration management experience.

• Windows Server and workstation experience.
