The Anduril Rocket Motor Systems (RMS) team is on a mission to build next-generation solid rocket motors for a safer, more connected world.
As the Principal Electrical Engineer, you will specify, design, develop, and install devices used to collect data on solid rocket motor burn performance.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze current equipment and identify areas for improvement
- Design and develop instrumentation to meet those needs
- Collaborate with other engineers to develop accurate and efficient equipment
- Design and test prototypes of equipment
- Oversee implementation of new measuring devices and control systems
- Act as project engineer for design, prototype fabrication, and manufacturing development
- Develop cable drawings and interface with low-voltage interfaces
- Draft and present formal technical documents and reports
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of experience with design, development, and installation of sensors
- Experience with NI Labview or NI DAQmx
- Understanding of signal conditioning and analog circuit design
- Knowledge of analog-to-digital conversion process and digital circuit design
- Experience with computer-controlled data acquisition and computer applications
- Ability to select correct sensors and design placement for solid rocket motor performance metrics
- Thorough understanding of applied math and physics
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and computer-aided design software
- Ability to write and understand Python
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
