As a Front End Pharmacy Technician with Omnicare, you will perform order entry tasks and collaborate with other team members in the medication dispensing process at our closed-door pharmacy.
Day In The Life:
You will triage customer service requests, calculate and verify correct dosages based on prescriptions, assist in reviewing narcotic prescriptions, provide dispensing pharmacists with information regarding allergies and drug interactions, and create and maintain accurate customer records.
Responsibilities:
- Triage customer service requests by department, urgency, and information/response required
- Calculate and/or verify correct dosage based on prescriptions
- Assist in reviewing narcotic prescriptions
- Provide dispensing pharmacist with information regarding allergies and drug interactions, therapeutic duplications, and other items that the computer flags
- Create and maintain accurate customer records
Requirements:
- Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law
- One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the long-term care industry
- PTCB National Certification

Pay Range:
$17.00 - $28.46 per hour
