Lead Piercer (Part-Time)

Mejuri is looking for a Lead Piercer to join their team in Kierland Commons, Scottsdale. As a Lead Piercer, you will be responsible for overseeing the piercing customer journey, managing the piercing studio, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the piercing customer journey from start to finish
• Provide calm and professional demeanor in piercing services
• Act as an ambassador of Mejuri and promote customer awareness about the brand
• Build a strong clientele in the local market
• Ensure insights and opportunities are communicated back to the Store Manager and Store Services
• Work closely with the Store Manager to improve the flow and process of the Mejuri piercing studio
• Update the schedule and online booking service
• Explain proper aftercare to clients and inform them of signs and symptoms of infection
• Thoroughly explain service procedures and risks to clients
• Lead by example and validate the quality of the in-store customer experience
• Ensure positive customer experience and promotion of services offerings
• Oversee and manage all aspects of the piercing studio
• Support inventory management and feedback with Operations Lead and Store Services team
• Ensure health and safety standards are maintained
• Uphold legal compliance in all customer interactions
• Remain knowledgeable on Mejuri products and become an expert on the piercing jewelry assortment
• Support the check-up and downsizing process for each individual client
• Style, stack, and suggest products for piercing clients
• Build piercing appointment occupancy
• Communicate with Store Services to order necessary piercing equipment
• Ensure all legislated paperwork and client record keeping is met and maintained

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience with needle piercing
• Experience working with threadless jewelry
• Up-to-date with First Aid and Blood-borne Pathogens OSHA Certifications
• Experience working with an autoclave or statim
• Local law enforcement registration or meeting requirements for permits
• Understanding of local market piercing law requirements
• Strong knowledge of health and safety protocols
• Demonstrated understanding of service excellence
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Compensation:

• Base pay range of $27-$35 per hour
