Description
As a Training Supervisor at Biffa Waste Services, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to drivers, loaders, operatives, and supervisors across various recycling and waste management contracts in Manchester.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Providing operational support to depots, assisting in achieving Vehicle Gate Check, Crew Monitoring, and Route Risk Assessment targets
- Delivering training sessions tailored to meet contract specifications and operational needs
- Coaching drivers to enhance their skills, reduce accidents, and ensure compliance with Operator Licence regulations
- Conducting depot-based training on key operational practices such as wheel torquing, manual handling, and vehicle defect checks
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid LGV Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
- A valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Previous experience in the waste or service industry
- Strong knowledge of transport and relevant legislation
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines
