Description
As an Assembly Team Associate at Cummins Inc., you will play a crucial role in creating end products by assembling various components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate manual and automated equipment to assemble products that meet customer expectations in terms of characteristics and dimensions.
- Follow standardised work and process documentation.
- Participate as a team member to operate and manage assembly processes, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals are met.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, performing routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks.
- Perform rework, scrap transactions, and external rework transactions, identifying and controlling non-conforming materials.
- Collect, analyse, and display operating data, engaging in formal problem-solving techniques when issues arise.
- Use material handling equipment such as hoists and forklifts to move parts and skids.
- Comply with departmental, site, and company policies and procedures, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Participate in training and personal development, assisting in training department personnel.
- Participate in improvement projects, using common problem-solving techniques.
- Communicate effectively with the assigned team and support teams.
- Maintain housekeeping and safety in work areas.
- Remain flexible and perform other miscellaneous duties as required.
- Complete work with minimal supervision.
- Operate within a team-based work system and rotate job routines as needed.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Experience:
- Minimal relevant experience required.
- Six months of work experience preferred.
Employees must be able to work from heights and pass a physical for breathable air equipment.
