Senior Cloud Services Engineer - Associate - Cloud Platform Services

HKEX Cloud Platform Services team is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Cloud Services Engineer. This team drives the design, deployment, and ongoing operation support on cloud-based solutions. They work across different application development, infrastructure operations, and security teams to ensure stability, scalability, and security of HKEX cloud infrastructure.

Job Duties:

• Maintain platform stability and high availability by defining and monitoring key observability metrics across all cloud environments.
• Lead incident response efforts and conduct thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to implement long-term preventative measures.
• Develop and govern a library of modular Terraform modules to ensure all deployments are standardized and reproducible.
• Identify and reduce manual toil by building automation scripts and exploring intelligent tooling for repetitive operational tasks.
• Build and manage comprehensive observability stacks, including monitoring and logging, to provide deep visibility into system health.
• Enforce security standards such as CIS Benchmarks through the implementation of automated guardrails.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and costs by using predictive insights to scale infrastructure based on real-time demand.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years in AWS, Azure, GCP or China Brand Private Cloud, professional experience in SRE or DevOps roles managing high-availability production environments.
• Expert-level proficiency in Terraform for managing large-scale infrastructure as code.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, or Bash for developing robust automation tools.
• Extensive hands-on experience with observability platforms like Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of cloud networking and security, including VPC design and CIS compliance standards.
• Familiar with modern automation trends, such as using AI-driven data analytics, reporting and anomaly detection to enhance incident triage.
• Proven ability to solve complex problems in distributed systems while working under high-pressure situations.
