Tooling & Die Design Engineer

We are seeking a Tooling & Die Design Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Company in Marysville, Ohio. As a Tooling & Die Design Engineer, you will be responsible for leading die/mold designs for North American mass production facilities.

Job Purpose: You will work closely with customers and internal team members to ensure high-quality parts and production stability, producing 3D models and detailed drawings.

Key Accountabilities:

• Design Die & Mold tooling using Computer-Aided Design software
• Implement customer specifications into new and existing dies/molds
• Investigate improvements or countermeasures for tooling-related problems during die/mold builds and mass production
• Follow the design and manufacturing of suppliers of dies/molds and equipment
• Support the installation of dies/molds and other equipment at production facilities

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing Engineering
• Associate's degree in a related field with 3 years of additional relevant experience, or 6 years of additional relevant experience with no degree
• 0-2 years of relevant experience; co-op experience preferred
• Familiarity with Computer-Aided Design software
• Mechanical/manufacturing knowledge

Working Conditions:

• 70% office environment: sitting for extended periods and working on PC equipment
• 20% manufacturing environment: personal protective equipment required, standing for prolonged periods, occasionally lifting up to 40lbs, potential exposure to heat, dust, oil, or grease
