Description
As a Risk Manager at Capital One, you will be part of the front line of defense to ensure the company's stability and profitability.
You will work with the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team to ensure businesses adhere to Capital One's Risk Management Framework, focusing on strategic improvements to the foundational elements of the Risk Identification Framework.
Key responsibilities include:
- Optimizing and enhancing the Risk Identification Framework to align with strategic objectives
- Leading cross-functional initiatives to simplify and standardize Risk Identification processes
- Analyzing data and operational insights to identify core problems and formulate effective solutions
- Collaborating with stakeholders to align strategies and ensure consistent execution
- Partnering with technology, product, and data teams to implement system and process updates
- Designing and implementing risk metrics to measure framework effectiveness
- Leading training across lines of defense
- Establishing and managing guidance for consistent execution
- Delivering reporting and executive-level presentations
- Fulfilling audit and regulatory exam requests
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or military experience
- At least 5 years of experience in Risk Management, Audit, Project Management, or Process Management
- At least 5 years of experience supporting internal business partners
Preferred qualifications:
- 6+ years of Risk Management experience
- 3+ years of Financial Services Risk Management experience
- Ability to set direction, manage expectations, and lead cross-functional projects
Salary ranges:
- McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400
- Richmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700
- Riverwoods, IL: $138,100 - $157,700
This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation.
