Commercial Graduate Trainee

We are Flexport, a company that has been playing a crucial role in global supply chain management during the recent crisis.

You have just graduated and are looking for a commercial career, but are unsure which path to take.

This 12-month program offers four rotations, four mentors, and one goal: finding where you fit.

The program consists of:

• Months 1–3: Working as a Sales Development Representative (SDR)
• Months 4–6: Managing clients as an Account Manager
• Months 7–9: Closing deals alongside a top salesperson
• Months 10–12: Focusing on Operations, Marketing, or Customs

Throughout the program, you will have a named 1:1 mentor each block, plus one program-wide buddy who stays with you the entire year.

Responsibilities:

• Block 1 – Sales Development: generating pipeline through outbound outreach, qualifying leads, and keeping Salesforce updated.
• Block 2 – Account Management: supporting client meetings, identifying upsell/renewal opportunities, and learning the customer lifecycle.
• Block 3 – Sales: supporting a full sales cycle from discovery to close, including deal structuring and negotiation.
• Block 4 – Elective: completing a project in Operations, Marketing, or Customs of your choice.

Requirements:

• Recent graduate (Bachelor's or Master's) in any discipline
• Fluent in German and English
• Willing to relocate to Hamburg or Frankfurt
• Strong affinity with commercial roles but unsure which exact direction
• Comfortable learning new tools and systems
• No sales experience required
• Solution-oriented, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized
