Senior Accountant Specialist - SSC

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant Specialist to join our Shared Service Center, supporting centralized accounting activities across multiple entities.

You will take ownership of General Ledger and end-to-end accounting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions, reconciliations, period-end closing, and reporting.

The position involves:

• Performing end-to-end accounting activities across General Ledger, Intercompany, Asset Accounting, and AR/AP processes
• Preparing and posting recurring and miscellaneous journal entries and bank transactions
• Conducting invoice reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, and resolving accounting issues
• Supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
• Preparing and monitoring balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and open items
• Handling accounting activities related to IFRS 16 lease accounting
• Participating in SSC transition projects and supporting the transfer and standardization of accounting processes
• Preparing and maintaining process documentation, SOPs, and work instructions
• Ensuring compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, internal policies, and internal control requirements
• Supporting internal and external audits
• Cooperating with internal stakeholders, business partners, and global counterparts
• Identifying and driving process improvement and automation opportunities
• Monitoring agreed KPIs and service levels
• Providing guidance, training, and support to junior team members

Requirements include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4–6+ years of accounting experience, preferably with a strong General Ledger background
• Experience in a Shared Service Center environment
• Strong ERP knowledge, preferably SAP
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and internal controls
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills
• Ability to independently investigate and resolve complex accounting issues
• High level of accuracy and efficiency in a high-volume environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Very good command of written and spoken English (C1 level)
• Knowledge of an additional language is an advantage
