Description
We are seeking an Endoscopy Practitioner to join our team at The Priory Hospital in Birmingham. This is a bank role working on an 'as and when required' basis, supporting staffing levels during busy periods and providing cover for existing staff during annual leave or absence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting the team to deliver care that improves the health of individuals and the wider community
- Demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect, and dignity
- Developing own competence to deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical/technical knowledge and skill
- Communicating appropriately with others involved in patient care
- Acting as an advocate for safeguarding patients and speaking up when there are concerns about care
- Demonstrating commitment to improving care and the patient experience
To be considered for this role, applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration
- Basic and advanced Competence/qualification in Endoscopy Care and Decontamination
- Operators Course in Endoscopy Decontamination
- Teaching/Assessing/mentorship qualifications
- Knowledge of appropriate standards and external bodies (Care Quality Commission, GRS, JAG, HTM 01-06)
