Description
The Spare Parts Specialist is a key member of the Genesis Magma Racing LMDh program, responsible for the efficient management, logistics, and traceability of all mechanical and bodywork components.
Job Summary The Specialist works closely with the Operations Manager, PMO, Global Sourcing, Vehicle Responsible Engineers, Material Logistics, and the Crew Chief to ensure operational readiness and optimal performance support during races, tests, and factory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of spare parts: procurement, inventory, tracking, and allocation across race, test, and workshop activities
- Coordinate shipping and logistics of all spare parts with the Material Logistics department, ensuring on-time delivery and customs compliance
- Take ownership of the packing, loading, and preparation of the assigned material sector ahead of race and test events, ensuring all spares and tooling are complete, compliant, and properly secured for transport
- Monitor and update the parts database, maintaining detailed records of component lifing, wear status, and replacements in collaboration with Vehicle Responsible Engineers
- Maintain accurate stock records and ensure timely replenishment to support build and event operations
- Collaborate with the PMO and Global Sourcing to align parts availability with program schedules and budget targets
- Guarantee full traceability and adherence to homologation, quality, and safety standards (FIA, IMSA, or ACO)
- Support the race team during events by managing part requests, replacements, and returns efficiently
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in parts tracking, logistics flow, and operational efficiency
Profile & Qualifications
- Technical degree in mechanical engineering, motorsport engineering, or supply chain management
- Experience in motorsport or high-performance automotive environments preferred
- Strong organisational skills with hands-on approach and attention to operational details
- Familiar with ERP or inventory management systems (SAP, MoTec, or similar)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Fluent in English; proficiency in French, German, or Korean is a plus
- Availability to travel and support race and test operations as required
- Knowledge of MS Office (package)
