Description

The HKUST Business School is searching for an Assistant Manager to provide career advice to MBA students and support particular areas of operations for the MBA Career Services and Corporate Relations team.

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Manager of MBA Career Services and Corporate Relations and contribute to various aspects of the team's work, including:

  • Providing career advice to MBA students from diverse geographical and industry backgrounds through one-on-one meetings and group communications.
  • Collaborating with other career advisors to review students' career interests and job search situations, and customizing approaches to match them with relevant job opportunities.
  • Supporting the development of career training programs by gathering up-to-date job market trends and enhancing students' employability.
  • Coordinating logistics for career training workshops and events, including venue booking, technical setups, and post-event feedback collection.
  • Planning and communicating with speakers and students for various career activities, such as recruitment talks, industry executive sharing, and career fairs.
  • Managing vendor accounts and operations, including onboarding new vendors, resolving system issues, and maintaining accurate procurement records.
  • Coordinating the administration of the external professional coaching panel, including contract renewal, payment structures, and scheduling logistics.
  • Supporting the team in preparing presentations, conducting data analysis, and compiling reports, as well as producing the annual CV Books.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of work experience in a related field, such as recruitment, human resources, or corporate learning and development. They should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a proactive work attitude, and a sense of ownership. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is required.

The contract duration is 2 years, renewable. Fringe benefits include staff shuttle bus, annual leave, special leave, medical and dental benefits, and education allowance. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of the contract.
