Associate - Data Analytics - Chief Data Office

The Associate, Data Analytics in the Chief Data Office (CDO) of Information Technology Divisions supports the planning, coordination, and delivery of data analytics projects to enable the HKEX data strategy and vision, and build out the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP).

Key duties include:

• Supporting data analysts in coordinating data analytics projects from initiation to deployment.
• Collaborating with business partners to deliver data platform functionalities, prioritizing requirements based on business value and mitigation of data risks.
• Tracking progress and risks against scope and schedule, in coordination with business and technology teams.
• Implementing data governance and data management capabilities across the enterprise data platform.
• Coordinating with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to support implementation and delivery activities.
• Driving the implementation of cloud and open-source capabilities to enable data management and data governance.
• Applying hybrid project management approaches, leveraging agile tools within SDLC phases.
• Coordinating with the data engineering function to ensure efficient use of technical tools and internal resources.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in technology, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in data analytics, IT development, or project management, preferably within large enterprises and the capital markets or financial services industry.
• Good understanding of SDLC disciplines and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Solid technical background with hands-on experience in data-related technologies.
• Understanding of enterprise data architecture concepts and modern data technology stacks.
• Proficient in JupyterHub or equivalent data science workbenches.
• Familiarity with native cloud technologies is an advantage.
• Familiarity with data security, data lineage, and data management concepts.
