Prudential Health India is seeking a Specialist-Premium Reconciliation to join their Customer function in Mumbai.

The role involves working with Business MIS and Finance function to develop reports to track unreconciled Suspense entries, investigating unreconciled items, monitoring and tracking the aging of bank reconciliation open items, and ensuring control measures are implemented to avoid recurrence of issues.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree from a recognized institute, solid foundation in Business Operations, Refunds, Banking and Finance reconciliation, deep understanding of the industry, regulations, and operational practices, and strong skills in managing financial data, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Business MIS and Finance function to develop reports to track unreconciled Suspense entries
  • Investigate unreconciled items to ensure the open items are resolved in a timely manner
  • Monitor and track the aging of bank reconciliation open items
  • Ensure control measures are implemented to avoid recurrence of issues leading to unreconciled entries
  • Update the relevant standard operating procedures to ensure relevance, as and when required
  • Work closely with the relevant stakeholders on any issue arising from bank reconciliation
  • Regularly engage in systems enhancement initiatives to improvise Finance Operations processes
  • Develop exception reports to prevent operational leakages, fraud, misuse of processes/ systems and work for remediation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized institute
  • Solid foundation in Business Operations, Refunds, Banking and Finance reconciliation
  • Deep understanding of the industry, regulations, and operational practices
  • Ability to leverage digital tools and platforms effectively for operational efficiency
  • Strong skills in managing financial data, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting
  • Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for Bank and Premium Reconciliation System
  • Expertise in analyzing and interpreting complex data to drive informed decision-making and strategic planning
  • 6-8 years of total experience with at least 5+ years of experience in insurance operations (cancellation/refund/premium reconciliation)
