Senior Engineering & Integration Manager

We are seeking a Senior Engineering & Integration Manager to lead the development of a significant Copper mining complex in Zambia.

The Senior Engineering & Integration Manager will be the primary technical authority for the Mingomba copper project through its design and construction phase, reporting to the Project Director.

Key responsibilities include:

• Holding and exercising design authority on behalf of KoBold
• Establishing the basis of design, engineering standards, and design criteria for the project
• Identifying, quantifying, and driving the resolution of engineering risks
• Approving key engineering deliverables
• Directing the scope freeze process
• Acting as KoBold's senior technical interface to the EPCM
• Monitoring engineering service provider progress
• Directing EPCM and specialist contractor technical performance
• Leading formal constructability reviews
• Driving operability and maintainability reviews
• Leading structured value engineering sessions
• Benchmarking key design parameters and cost drivers

The successful candidate will have:

• 18+ years of professional engineering experience in major capital projects in mining, minerals processing, oil and gas, or equivalent heavy industry
• A demonstrated track record of delivering projects through full lifecycle from FEED to mechanical completion
• Deep experience managing and directing EPCM contractors
• Strong multi-discipline technical foundation
• Capability in constructability reviews, operability reviews, value engineering, and HAZOP/HAZID facilitation
• Experience developing and executing engineering management plans, technical risk registers, design basis documents, and stage-gate technical submissions
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in an engineering discipline; Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional registration strongly preferred

Location: Remote

Travel: Anticipated travel of 90+ days per year to Zambia.
