Description
As an AI Platform Engineer on AI Mining at Dialpad, you'll own the data infrastructure layer that makes skill mining possible. This involves working with BigQuery datasets and schemas, cloud storage, service accounts and IAM, Vertex AI pipeline infrastructure, Dataform integration, and event streaming resources.
You'll build automated pipelines that move data into place, including scheduled jobs, data copy pipelines, and backfill orchestration. Your work will be at the intersection of data engineering and infrastructure, supporting AI engineers, data scientists, and product engineers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Getting oriented on the data infrastructure landscape
- Building and shipping infrastructure changes
- Owning core data infrastructure
- Partnering with AI and data science engineers to translate pipeline and data needs into provisioned infrastructure
- Contributing to data quality checks, freshness monitoring, and anomaly detection
- Strengthening infrastructure-as-code practices
- Driving expansion of the data platform
- Managing data governance posture
You'll need strong experience in data engineering, data platform, or infrastructure work with a data focus. Comfort with BigQuery, infrastructure-as-code, and privacy-sensitive data is essential.
